William J. Manz 67, of Amherst, NY passed away on June 29, 2017 in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls he was the son of the late James C. and Ann (Maloney ) Manz.  He attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle High School.  Bill served in the United States Navy until his Honorable Discharge in 1971. Mr. Manz retired in 2000 as a supervisor of the train yard at Occidental Chemical Corp.

Bill was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres Fan. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Picard) Manz and his daughter Jennifer E. Manz as well as several nieces and nephews.  Bill was also predeceased by his brother, Richard C. Manz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at 7:00 PM in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Followed by Military Honors.
