Willie H. Coleman, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 29, 2026, at his residence in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Dozier, AL, he was the son of the late Leslie and Mamie P. (Carter) Coleman. Willie came to the Niagara Falls area as a child with his family and remained a proud member of the community throughout his life.

A gifted and skilled bass player, Willie shared his musical talent with numerous local groups and church bands over the years. His love of karate and martial arts was equally strong, and he was known as a patient, dedicated teacher—especially to children, whom he encouraged with kindness and discipline. Willie will be remembered as a loving family man, gentle in spirit and generous with his time and wisdom.

He is survived by his daughter, Ondrea Wilson; his grandson, Kevin Wilson, along with several other grandchildren; his siblings, Bobby (late Robin) Coleman and Doreen Coleman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Willie was predeceased by his wife, Joann Coleman; his son, James Weathers; and his brother, William “Billy” Coleman.

There will be no prior visitation or services. Arrangements are under the care of M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
