Willie "Pop" Nicholas passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Alabama, he was the son of the late Oscar N. and Gladys (Curry) Hunt.

Willie moved to the Niagara Falls area as a child with his family, and spent many years working at HANCI as a Niagara Senior Companion. Affectionately called "Pop" by his family and friends, he was a man of deep passion and joy. He had a love for 1960s and 1970s Motown music, and was a devoted fan of both the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.

Willie is survived by his sister, Patricia Hunt, as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, including Clarence Hunt, Shalondra (Hunt) Carter, Shiela Hunt, Terry Abram and Jerry Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five siblings, Wilbur Hunt, Nathan Hunt, James Hunt, Willie Belle Curry and Elizabeth Hunt.

In accordance with Willie's wishes, there will be no funeral services held at this time.
