Wilson D. 'Willy' Emmons, Sr., 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 29, 2022 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Pittston, PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Anna (Colorusso) Emmons, Sr.

Willy came to the Niagara Falls Area as a child and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964.  On July 8, 1961, he married N. Gwyn (Raybon) Emmons at Bacon Memorial Church.  Mrs. Emmons predeceased him on March 10, 2005 after 42 years of marriage.  Willy was employed as a purchaser for G&G Sales, an affiliate of Tops Markets, for 25 years.  He also worked as a sales associate at Carter's and at Harpor Janitorial in Niagara Falls until his retirement in 2005.  Willy was an avid bowler, golfer and hunter.  Willy was also a member of the Niagara Falls Jaycees.  He enjoyed his many adventures to the Caribbean, Hawaii and Florida with his partner and companion of the last 8 years, Marsha Erickson.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family…"and everything else…".

Willy is survived by his children, Wilson D. 'Nicky' (Patti) Emmons, Jr., Michael Emmons and Christine (Christopher) Dorato; his grandchildren, Cory Emmons, Cody Emmons, Madison Dorato, Samantha, Cassie, Jon and Emily; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Dominick and Jack; his siblings, Darlene (Arthur) Zemszal and Kenneth (Pauline) Emmons, Jr.; his companion and partner, Marsha Erickson, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 10:30 AM, followed by interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY, with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences
