Winifred Silversmith, 71, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday June 15, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Six Nations, Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Williams) Silversmith.

Winifred came to Niagara Falls, NY as a young child and attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former DeVeaux Manor Nursing Home in Niagara Falls, NY for ten years.

Winifred is survived by three children Tony (Diane Smith) Liscom, Howard Liscom and Kathleen LaTour all of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by two children Christine Parker and Timothy Liscom. Survivors also include several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister Virginia Silversmith of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother Gerald (Joan of Waterport, NY) Silversmith.

Friends may call on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Burial will be held in Six Nations, Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. If desired, donations may be made in Winifred's memory to a charity of one's choice.
