Yvette C. (Gagliardi) Peschell, 87 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Laura (Rouchefort) Ouellette.

Yvette was raised in Canada, and moved to Niagara Falls, NY at the age of 18. For many years she worked part-time as a waitress at the former Crown and Anchor Restaurant in Niagara Falls, and later on as a cook for the Niagara Nutrition Program. Yvette was an excellent cook and took great pleasure in being a devoted mother and homemaker. In her leisure time she also enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Yvette was predeceased by her husband Carmen Gagliardi, and later husband Joseph E. Peschell. She is survived by her four children, Anthony (Jane) Gagliardi of Lockport, NY, Laura (Joseph) Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY, Paula (Jay) Rhodes of Dunedin, FL and Janice Gagliardi of Niagara Falls, NY, three grandchildren, Mark (Kelly) Trane, Tyler Gagliardi and Carmen Lally, three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Emily and Samuel Trane, Joseph's children, Cecilia, Joanne, Roberta, David and Mark, as well as nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Alpha Downey and Lena Kostuk.

Yvette's children would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Heritage Manor of Niagara, for the compassion and support given to their mother.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Monday February 22nd at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Heritage Manor of Niagara 6508 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
